Chorus

Internal rhyme - Songwriting exercise

End rhymes are the most common, but they can start to sound tired and expected.

Internal rhymes can give your lines extra rhythm and texture, making your lyrics feel more alive.

Example

Line: "You left your scarf on the back of the chair" Rhymes: more / dance floor "I wanted more when we hit the dance floor."
